VINOD AND MRINALINI 

EPISODE 8:

She knew Vinod very well. It was four years since they married. She knew very well that it was his habbit to wish her at exactly 12 midnight. Suddenly she got a beep on her mobile. It was a WhatsApp message beep. She picked up her mobile, and lo it was a message from Vinod. Infact there were three messages. The first message was:
'I'm in deep trouble"
The second message was:
"I went to Namrata Sethia's jewellery showroom. I wanted to gift you sapphire danglers. Because since basically the birthday evening gown which I've designed for you, is blue in colour. But I'll be late. My ex-girlfriend's best friend Rachita, that adult film actress happened to be there. She saw me first. She came to me and started abusing me continously. In a very high tone she started calling me cuss words. All of the design store's staff, fellow customers started looking at us. I immediately turned to leave. There was also a feeling within me that if I show that I'm scared of her or don't take action against her, she'll continue to trouble me even in the future. I turned to leave. But she started to pull my hand with full force. It was very clear that she wanted to have s** with me, manipulate my thinking  system and trap me. So I turned around. I could lay my hands on an iron chair nearby. I lifted it and with full force hit her on her head. It landed on her head with a big thud. She just screamed in pain. Blood started to ooze out of her head. She let go of her grip. I ran straight to my car. I don't know which route this is ? I just got out of the grip of that horrible and maneating woman. I just wanted to go to a place where I get complete privacy to send you these messages.'
The third message was:
'Happy birthday !'
The fourth message was:
'I love you wifey dear'
     Mrinalini was shocked on reading the messages. She didn't know what to do. She decided to wait for him at home itself. Her tense fingers could only send one message:
'I support you totally in this'
     Vinod came home three hours later. He just called his wife from the parking lot and asked her to come down. She came dressed in her pajamas and T-shirt. She was only too happy to see that her husband was safe. She sat in the car and Vinod wished her 'happy birthday' with moist eyes. She just hugged him, also with moist eyes. She saw the beautiful gown and said that it was beautiful. She did get sapphire danglers but from veteran jewellery designer Hemraj Mahajan's store. She was very happy. Both slept in the car itself, holding each other's hands. The light of the car was switched off and they woke up only at 9 am in the morning.
     Two days later, there was only one sentence which was put in the page 3 column of a third category newspaper:
'Rachita, the semi porn actress has left Bollywood for good and has shifted lock, stock and barrel to the US to try her luck in Hollywood.'
     Whatever the news is, our very much in love couple cut the belated birthday cake nearly at 10 am the next day.

His excitement, expectations and dedication was so much into it. Mrinalini also of course wanted to attend the show. But Vinod's anxiety was so much, that he didn't sleep at all the entire night. He was sure that this would be the best, the indian fashion industry has seen ever. Mrinalini didn't set up the morning alarm as she had taken leave that day. Even Mrinalini's look and saree was specially designed by her husband. She had of course overslept. And Vinod had a hot cup of coffee, set his mobile to 'gayatri mantra' and drove to his show venue.
